Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and philanthropy continue to play a vital role in driving innovative, sustainable solutions for societal and environmental challenges. Sun Life Singapore is taking a bold step in this direction with the launch of its “Life is Brighter” Charity Fund, reaffirming its commitment to being a sustainability champion in the insurance sector.

The fund will channel resources into meaningful causes, starting with health and wellness initiatives in partnership with Community Chest, focusing on diabetes prevention and mental well-being support. Over time, its scope will expand to encompass broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) priorities, aiming for long-term positive impact on both society and the planet.

This initiative builds on Sun Life Singapore’s Philanthropic Pledge, introduced in July 2023, which encourages individuals and businesses to give back to the community. By consolidating donations from the pledge, fundraising activities, and other contributions, the charity fund will manage and distribute resources effectively to targeted causes.

“Our ‘Life is Brighter’ Charity Fund is a milestone in our ESG journey,” said Christopher Albrecht, Chief Executive Officer of Sun Life Singapore. “Philanthropy is a sustainable enabler that allows us to inspire others to pay it forward and create a healthier, happier future for generations to come.”

With this move, Sun Life Singapore continues to lead the way in sustainable philanthropic giving, demonstrating that purpose-driven business practices can strengthen communities and protect the environment.
