Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has brought clean water and new hope to Kampung Bukit Serok Lama, an Orang Asli village in Pahang, by installing a solar-powered water pump system. This initiative is part of the company’s broader commitment to community upliftment and sustainable technology deployment, particularly for underserved populations.

The project provides the village with reliable access to clean water for daily use, something that was previously a challenge due to infrastructure limitations. The solar-powered system harnesses renewable energy to reduce long-term maintenance and environmental impact — a fitting example of how CSR can integrate innovation with practical solutions that improve lives.

Beyond the hardware, Mitsubishi employees also joined hands with local partners to engage in meaningful on-ground activities, including a small handover ceremony and site preparation work. The initiative was carried out in collaboration with Global Peace Foundation Malaysia, further reflecting the value of public-private partnerships in driving real, inclusive progress.

The project in Kampung Bukit Serok Lama marks Mitsubishi's fifth CSR water project and demonstrates the brand’s long-standing focus on reaching remote communities through long-term, sustainable solutions. It also aligns with several UN Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, which focuses on ensuring access to safe water for all, and SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, which promotes renewable and sustainable energy solutions, especially in rural communities.
