In a heartfelt act of community care, more than 50 packed rice meals were recently distributed to the elderly residents of House of Joy.

This initiative aimed not only to provide essential nourishment but also to bring warmth and dignity to the seniors residing at the home.

The gesture was part of an ongoing commitment to support the underprivileged and often-overlooked members of society — in this case, our elderly citizens who have contributed so much in their lifetime and deserve continued compassion and support.

“Every small act of kindness can create a ripple effect. Through initiatives like this, we hope to remind the elderly that they are loved, remembered, and respected — that even the simplest gestures can bring warmth, dignity, and a sense of belonging to those who may often feel forgotten.,” said Dato’ Seri Ivan Teh, a tech entrepreneur driven by the belief that true success includes uplifting those in need.

For the residents and caretakers at House of Joy, the donation meant far more than just a meal — it was a heartfelt reminder that they are not alone.

“We are truly touched by this thoughtful gesture. It means so much to our residents to know that people beyond these walls still care. These meals didn’t just satisfy their hunger — they lifted their spirits and brought smiles to their faces,” shared the person in charge at House of Joy.

CSR initiatives like this show how collective goodwill and simple acts can bring meaningful impact — especially to those who need it most.
